Rural Surveyor - Axminster

We are seeking a Qualified Rural Surveyor to join our Rural Professional team in Axminster, Devon. The role offers the opportunity for an individual to become part of a team while growing an area of their own expertise.  This is an opportunity where the right candidate can develop and progress their career to the highest level.

Working with the Partner, the successful applicant will undertake work types including but not limited to:

  • Valuations for banks, private individuals, probate and general tax planning
  • Planning for general development of residential schemes, agricultural occupancy houses, farm buildings and diversification
  • General professional advice for rural clients
  • BPS and countryside stewardship
  • Boundary disputes
  • Farm & Land sales, letting and purchases
  • Compensation claims, utilities and telecoms

Requirements of the Role:

  • RICS qualified
  • Registered Valuer
  • Full UK Driving license
  • 1+ years PQE
  • Qualified member of the CAAV

THE AXMINSTER OFFICE is home a multi-disciplinary office situated in the heart of the town, next to the River Cottage Canteen.  This market town is well catered for with a range of shops, cafes and a range of sports facilities.

Experienced Property Manager

  • Closing Date: 14 July 2021

Symonds & Sampson are looking for an experienced full time Property Manager based in the Yeovil/Crewkerne area to join our remote working Property Management team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for account managing our portfolio of properties, be organised, flexible, cheerful and empathetic in this varied and rewarding role. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 9 to 5.30 and part of a Saturday rota – (usually 1 in 4) 9am to 4pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Problem solving
  • Maintaining good relations with Landlords, Tenants and Contractors
  • Diary and Database management
  • Raising works orders and processing invoices
  • Managing, booking and attending property visits
  • Processing rent payments
  • Deposit management

KEY SKILLS 

  • Good level of customer service skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work within a team
  • High level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Full driving license and use of own vehicle required

EXPERIENCE   Experience as a letting agent preferred
