Rural Graduate Trainee/Newly Qualified Surveyor - Sturminster Newton

  • Closing Date: 31 May 2021

We are seeking a graduate trainee or newly qualified surveyor to work within our busy Rural Professional team in Sturminster Newton. The role offers a wide range of experience across many aspects of rural surveying and farm agency. It will also provide the opportunity for the right candidate to progress through APC and/or CAAV to further develop their career. 

A practical knowledge of agriculture would be advantageous. The position offers excellent career prospects for the right candidate, but self-motivation, good IT skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to 

  • Countryside Stewardship, ELMS, BPS and grants
  • Valuations for banks, private individuals, probate and general tax planning
  • Farm & Land sales
  • Planning for development of farm buildings and diversification
  • General professional advice for rural clients
  • Compensation claims, utilities and telecoms

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Completion of a RICS accredited degree
  • Full UK Driving licence

DESIRABLE SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Probationer of the CAAV
  • Use of mapping software

Rural Surveyor - Axminster

  • Closing Date: 31 May 2021

We are seeking a Qualified Rural Surveyor to join our Rural Professional team in Axminster, Devon. The role offers the opportunity for an individual to become part of a team while growing an area of their own expertise.  This is an opportunity where the right candidate can develop and progress their career to the highest level.

Working with the Partner, the successful applicant will undertake work types including but not limited to:

  • Valuations for banks, private individuals, probate and general tax planning
  • Planning for general development of residential schemes, agricultural occupancy houses, farm buildings and diversification
  • General professional advice for rural clients
  • BPS and countryside stewardship
  • Boundary disputes
  • Farm & Land sales, letting and purchases
  • Compensation claims, utilities and telecoms

Requirements of the Role:

  • RICS qualified
  • Registered Valuer
  • Full UK Driving license
  • 1+ years PQE
  • Qualified member of the CAAV

THE AXMINSTER OFFICE is home a multi-disciplinary office situated in the heart of the town, next to the River Cottage Canteen.  This market town is well catered for with a range of shops, cafes and a range of sports facilities.
