Residential Estate Agency Manager - Sherborne

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Estate Agency Manager to join our award-winning sales team in Sherborne. This opportunity would suit a highly motivated, entrepreneurial person with a proven track record of at least five years in residential agency.


  • Management of sales team
  • Ensure office targets are met and exceeded
  • Meet with clients and assess their particular needs
  • Register and manage applicants
  • Generate and conduct Market Appraisals
  • Arrange and attend viewings around homes
  • Canvass for new business opportunities
  • Registering new clients according to compliance
  • Respond to queries via e-mail and telephone
  • Sales progression and liaising with solicitors


  • Strong people skills
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner and client facing skills
  • Excellent communication skills - must be capable of building and maintaining good relationships with team members, other colleagues, clients and agents
  • Confident manner with clients and the team
  • Flexible approach to work and hours undertaken
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion

The Sherborne Office is a friendly office situated close to the centre of the town, within walking distance of local amenities. It's home to sales, lettings and agricultural departments.

RICS Registered Valuer

  • Closing Date: 28 February 2021

Symonds & Sampson LLP are seeking an RICS Registered Valuer to be able to cover the whole of Wessex Region as required but based out of Wimborne.


To undertake work types including but not limited to:

  • Level 2 RICS Homebuyer reports (Private and bank panel instructions)
  • Mortgage Valuations for bank panels.
  • Valuations for banks, private individuals, probate and general tax planning


  • RICS qualified
  • Registered Valuer
  • Full UK Driving license,
  • 2-4 years PQE
  • Ability to deal effectively with email and telephone enquiries
  • Diary and Database management
  • File Management and compliance
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft packages especially Excel spreadsheets


  • Mortgage Valuations for bank panels.
  • Residential Red Book Valuation (preferred though not a prerequisite)
  • Level 2 RICS Homebuyers (Private and bank panel instructions)


  • A competitive salary dependent on experience
  • Training and subscriptions of RICS along with any additional qualifications required

THE OFFICE is in the heart of Wimborne, within a short walk of shops, eateries and the Minster. It is home to our Agricultural, Valuation and Building Survey and Design departments.
