Expert Witness

Inevitably, there will be occasions when a dispute between parties cannot be resolved, and it becomes necessary to refer the matter to mediation, arbitration, or litigation whereas part of that process, whether it is the crux of the matter, or part of a wider basis of settlement, property is involved, and a valuation of those assets is required.

Within our body of property valuers are experienced and qualified surveyors who can act as Expert Witnesses. They can prepare comprehensive Expert Witness reports for our clients, whether they act on behalf of claimants, defendants or independently between the two, in line with the Civil Procedure Rules Part 25 or Part 35. Those reports are backed up by thoroughly researched supporting verified evidence.
 
Our Expert Witnesses might be called to act as Single Joint Experts or Party Appointed Experts in a property dispute and frequently write advisory and expert reports for clients or instruct lawyers, always providing independent and impartial evidence to the court, as well as attending mediation between the parties and ‘hot tubbing’.
