He attended a post-graduate course in Environmental Management at Birkbeck College, University of London and in 2005, received the CAAV national award for the second highest examination results. Since then, he has served on the committee and as chairman of the Hants, Wilts & Dorset Agricultural Valuers' Association.

When not at work, you’ll find Patrick training and working his gundogs, gardening and occasionally fishing. On winter evenings he can be found captaining a local skittles team and helping with local village events.
