Symonds & Sampson LLP is proud to have secured planning permission for two detached dwellings close to the centre of Sherborne.Currently a garage block situated off Wingfield Road, the new dwellings will both have ample off-road parking with electric charge points and generous gardens. There were a number of challenges that required addressing including proximity to heritage assets, flood risk and parking. The proposal and designs for the site were overseen by James Shapland, BSc, MRICS, C.Build, E, MCABE, and unanimously approved at Planning Committee with officer support.
"It is relatively rare to find development sites for new dwellings so close to the centre of Sherborne, this site faced a number of challenges however by working with trusted specialist consultants we were able to gain a positive recommendation from planning officers and full support from the planning committee," commented Andrew following the successful outcome. "Detailed preparation before the application and a considered design for dwellings that will blend seamlessly into the locality were well received by officers.
