 | James Shapland BSc MRICS C.Build E MCABEPartner | Sturminster Newton James joined Symonds & Sampson as an Assistant Building Surveyor in 2013. A key member of the Building Surveying & Design Department from the outset, he became a Partner in 2024, and is based in our Sturminster Newton office. James learnt and developed practical construction skills before deciding to retrain as a Building Surveyor. This background has stood him in good stead as he transfers the skills he learnt to his daily role. He is responsible for the rapidly growing department, with planning and technical design among the specialist services he offers.
