Our career spotlight this month shines on graduate Rural Surveyor and auctioneer George Russo, who joined Symonds& Sampson in 2023 and has become a familiar face within our Agricultural Auctions department.George Russo’s first taste of auctioneering came from Harper Adams University during his placement year. Attending a local livestock market every week opened his eyes to the buzz of a live auction, and he soon recognised the direction he hoped his career as a Rural Chartered Surveyor would go.
Joining Symonds & Sampson in 2023, George's natural talent for auctioneering quickly earned him a place on the stage, selling machinery, fodder, and equipment alongside seasoned auctioneer Greg Ridout. His calm, efficient, and professional approach has made him a familiar face in markets and at sales and garnered numerous clients' respect.
When he's not immersed in the intricacies of a sale, George is busy providing a diverse range of professional services. His expertise spans a wide spectrum from farm agency and land and farm tenancies to grants, diversification, insurance valuations, and planning. His work takes him across the southwest, and given the opportunity, he's always eager to share his passion for machinery and invite you to the next Symonds & Sampson dispersal sale.
George works in the Rural & Professional Department in our Yeovil Office and can be contacted on 01935 382909 or by email. Click here to see the extensive commercial property services Symonds & Sampson can offer.
