Our career spotlight this month shines on Lorna Wyatt who has progressed within our Commercial Department to become a qualified Management Surveyor based in our Poundbury, Burraton House office.I had an interest in property from an early age and worked locally as a Residential Property Manager for several years. During that time, I was keen to progress my career and studied remotely at the University of Estate Management. It was hard work juggling work and study, but I graduated with a Degree in Real Estate.
It was then time for a change, and I joined Symonds & Sampson. I was welcomed into the Commercial Department and encouraged to undertake my AssocRICS training, with tremendous support and experience from my colleagues.
I am now a fully-fledged AssocRICS, recently promoted to a Management Surveyor, and am responsible for the management of a wide variety of commercial properties from shops and industrial estates to blocks of flats and shopping centres across the Southwest.
