Our career spotlight shines on Shula Harvey MNAEA MNAVA, negotiator in our Property Auction Department. Having worked in estate agency locally for some years, Shula joined our Sherborne office in 2021. Looking for a fresh start and a new perspective, she relished the wide variety of properties the firm handled, particularly those sold at auction. Having just attained her qualifications with the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers, she expands on her journey into Estate Agency."Leaving the confines of a corporate firm behind, I was immediately taken with the diversity of property handled by Symonds & Sampson. With support and guidance from an experienced team, I quickly gained broader insight into selling a range of property types on behalf of clients, developing the skills and confidence to grow professionally and personally.
"One of the most exciting parts of working in Sherborne was helping at the monthly property auctions. I loved the buzz of auction day, so when an opportunity arose in summer 2024 to join the Auctions team in Sturminster Newton, I jumped at it.
“Since moving into auctions, the variety of work has been incredible - from residential properties to land, investment opportunities, commercial buildings, and even a Water Tower! I’ve also been proud to achieve my National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers qualification, with huge support from my colleagues, and I’m now working towards my Associate RICS accreditation.
“I’ve found that no matter which office or department you’re in, Symonds & Sampson is full of people who are happy to share their expertise and help you reach your goals. It’s been a rewarding journey so far, and I’m excited to see where it leads next”.
