Symonds & Sampson’s Rural Surveyors Will Wallis and Sam Haskell were delighted to take part in an Agricultural Question Time last week in Blandford. The event, organised by Humphries Kirk, drew experts together in a lively and interactive session, where questions raised reflected the real challenges facing the farming community. Topics covered included succession, tax, land, business structure and planning for the future.Bringing together legal advisors, Laura Staples from HK Law, Simon Christopher from Simon John Christopher Ltd., Matthew Isaacs from Bloomfield IFA, and local MP Simon Hoare, the panel explored how decisions farming families make today have far-reaching implications, and the importance of having the right team around you. Bringing together legal, financial, and professional advisers in one room allowed us to share joined-up, practical advice, helping attendees see the bigger picture and plan ahead with greater confidence.
If you weren’t able to attend in person, or would like to revisit the key topics, you can explore the main questions and answers here.
