2025 is gearing up to be an exciting year for the machinery team at Symonds & Sampson, with over 20 auctions booked and in the pipeline. From Newbury to Cornwall, online timed auctions are a growing part of the business, with large numbers of valuable machinery being sold. Using the most up-to-date and modern technology, they benefit buyers and sellers throughout the UK and beyond. In our January Online Timed Auction, a Massey Ferguson Square baler sold for £28,000. It was sold on behalf of a vendor from Southampton and went off to its new home in Essex. Trade for tractors was very strong, with a top call of £19,000 for an F-Reg tractor sold from North Devon to its new home in Northumberland. Plenty of diggers and earth-moving equipment sold well, with the best two diggers selling for in excess of £20,000 on behalf of owners from Bideford and Salisbury.
Over 800 potential buyers viewed the sale, demonstrating the popularity of online auctions as a great way to sell surplus machinery with little hassle or fuss. Our next online Timed Auction gets underway on 3rd March and includes full and part dispersals from as far as Launceston in Cornwall to Southampton and Swindon. Our on-site dispersal calendar looks busy, with sales already booked in every county in the southwest of the country.
