New guidance has been released from DEFRA today (19th March) around the 2026 Capital Grant Scheme offer, which includes funding for practical on-farm improvements like tree planting, hedgerows, water quality and flood management.Grants are grouped into 6 categories, with funding caps on 4 of them:
- £25,000 for water quality, air quality, and natural flood management
- £35,000 for boundaries, trees and orchards
Demand is expected to be high, and the scheme will close once all funding is allocated - now is the time to ensure your business details and mapping are up to date and to start gathering supporting evidence.
