Case Study - Troytown Farm, Dorchester

Symonds & Sampson has gained prior approval consent to convert an existing agricultural building under Class Q.

Our planning experts suggest that the building is a great example of how Class Q legislation can be used to create homes from characterful buildings in rural areas. Whilst in close proximity to a Listed Building, Symonds & Sampson successfully argued it was not listed or curtilage listed and, therefore, benefited from Class Q permitted development rights.

The building lent itself well to a conversion and will make a wonderful home for the applicants.
