Channel 4, home to The Great British Bake Off, Gogglebox, and Grand Designs, will be airing a new property programme called ‘Help! I Bought It At Auction with Sarah Beeny’, starting on Wednesday 25 March and featuring Symonds & Sampson.Auction Partner Meredith Wallis is looking forward to watching the programme, although she may hide behind the sofa in trepidation. “We were approached by Little Gem production company asking if they could film one of our property auctions partly because we are one of the few firms who still hold auctions ‘in room’ with people able to bid in person, online, on the telephone, and by proxy. They chose our 16 October 2025 auction held in Devon.
“We had a really eclectic mixture of lots including land at Axminster, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Weymouth, and Honiton and houses for renovation in Axminster, St Ives, Lyme Regis, and Chard. It was a great atmosphere and we hope this comes across in the programme."
Clemency Green, Senior Commissioning Editor at Channel 4, said, “Whether you're a seasoned investor or a first-time buyer dreaming big, I Bought It At Auction With Sarah Beeny is the ultimate guide to the risks - and rewards - of buying property at auction. Sarah knows first-hand how to navigate the property market and what it really takes to make bold moves pay off.”
Ben Gale, Managing Director and Executive Producer at Little Gem, said, “We’re excited to team up with Sarah on this dynamic new show which will pull back the curtain on the auction world and show off some cracking properties along the way."
Sarah Beeny spoke about the new programme on BBC's The One Show on 16 March, click here to watch the episode.
