Symonds & Sampson’s collective property auction on 19th June raised an impressive £3 million for clients, as properties in Dorset, Devon, Somerset, and Wiltshire went under the hammer. With much interest in properties offered during the lead-in, Auction Partner Meredith Wallis expected a strong sale and she was not disappointed. “Bidders were drawn to the variety of lots offered, and the geographical spread right across the ‘heartland’ of Symonds & Sampson country, from East Devon to Salisbury, and prices remained strong throughout the sale.
“The beauty of selling at our traditional style of auction is that when the hammer falls, we exchange contracts, irrespective of whether the bids are in person, by telephone, or online. With private treaty sales often taking 12 weeks or more to go through, an auction is a good option.”
Amongst the notable prices achieved at Friday's auction were:

- Woodland at Nether Compton near Sherborne 36% above guide
