Promotion and Restructuring in our West Dorset Residential Offices

Published: 25/02/2026 By Jon Summers

Symonds & Sampson are delighted to share the news of some changes in our Bridport and Beaminster branches, effective from Monday 2nd March.

Matthew Edmunds MNAEA takes over as Residential Sales Manager of our Beaminster office. Having worked in the town for four years and eight years in the industry before that, Matt’s dedication, expertise and impact have been invaluable, and we are excited to see him take on this new role. Alongside Matt in Beaminster are the familiar faces of James Lamb MNAEA, Jane Crabb, and Henry Hansford-Harvey.

Caroline Childs-Chaffey MNAEA moves a few miles south to join the Bridport office, where, as a Residential Sales Manager, she will strengthen an experienced and successful team in Steve Allen MNAEA, Daniel Magee MNAEA, Julia Baker, Tara Grinter, and Penny Blackham.

Head of Agency, Jon Summers MNAEA MNAVA, welcomes Matt to his new role. "In the four years Matt has been with us, he has demonstrated his strengths, winning praise from vendors, buyers, and colleagues alike. His promotion is well deserved, and we are confident that the Beaminster office team will go from strength to strength with Matt at its helm.

"Meanwhile, Caroline’s tremendous experience will strengthen the Bridport office, which has always been one of our busiest branches. She knows West Dorset like the back of her hand, and with Steve, Dan and an excellent supporting team, we have an exciting opportunity to meet the demand for professional and trustworthy estate agency in the area".
