Published: 15/05/2023 By Jon SummersThe London and Country Property Show, organised by The London Office and attended by member firms from all corners of the United Kingdom, has become a significant event in the capital for those considering a move to the countryside. Head of Agency Jon Summers, accompanied by senior agents Peter Grout-Smith, Anabel Merriman, and country homes consultant Richard Taylor (centre), represented Symonds & Sampson at today's prestigious show at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
The show attracted potential purchasers from the capital, the home counties, and even from abroad, all enjoying this unique opportunity to meet agents, discuss their requirements and identify their search areas. Visitors to Symonds & Sampson’s stand could enjoy delicious local refreshments kindly provided by Langham Wines, Olives et Al and KS Cakes whilst even enjoying a personal guided video tour of suitable properties.
What is evident is that the demand for rural and coastal properties, particularly those with space or potential for remote working, remains strong. It was well documented that the COVID pandemic prompted numerous buyers to leave large cities, interestingly many of today's attendees were eager to join family and friends who have already relocated and settled in our region. Despite financial uncertainty and rising rates, buyers remain determined.
In pride of place on our stand was the new Acquire magazine, published this week to coincide with the show, and showcasing some of the finest property across the country. Not only does the magazine promote our properties to a national and international audience, but it is also an incredibly useful window into the UK property market for those looking to move out of the area.
