Symonds & Sampson held their largest ever property auction on 19 September when 45 lots in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, and Hampshire went under the gavel.Auctioneer Mark Lewis confirmed this was the highest total raised for his clients for three years “It was a very exciting lead up to the auction with some buyers desperate to secure a purchase. The beauty of the auction is that the gavel falls and the deal is secured and this was a great comfort to some sellers.”
Auction partner Meredith Wallis added “all sixteen Symonds & Sampson offices were involved in the sale from Salisbury right through to Axminster and Tiverton and it showed the strength of the firm and the large area that we cover. Many sale prices were well ahead of expectations proving that, with the right marketing and qualified staff, auctions can be a very effective method of disposal. ”
