When Rickey Stoodley first entered estate agency as an office junior in Yeovil in 2004, one of his primary duties was to keep up with the demand for printed sales particulars. "Much has changed in agency over the past 20 years," he reflects, "the internet has changed how we view properties and arrange appointments. I miss face-to-face contact with clients, but I appreciate that the world has moved on. It’s incredible to think that your home can be seen across the globe at the click of a button".After 10 years working across Devon, Dorset & Somerset, Rickey joined Symonds & Sampson in Axminster. "Axminster is like my second home; I have made numerous friends through work and can honestly say that I have never encountered an area where people are so welcoming.
"To me, Axminster is a hidden gem. It’s surrounded by beautiful East Devon countryside and has the stunning Jurassic coastline within a short drive. I like to think of my time here with Symonds & Sampson as the happiest in my career. I am spoilt with the vast array of properties I see and people I meet from all walks of life, and no two days are ever the same.
“As well as working in a glorious part of the world, the move to a firm with such a strong commitment to offering clients professional advice based on their needs. There is a tremendously collaborative ethos to help clients make informed decisions.
“With experienced staff in virtually every property specialism, there is an almost ‘family’ ethos you don’t find with larger, corporate firms."
Rickey has attained his MNAEA qualification whilst with the firm and was deservedly promoted to Senior Sales Manager in our Axminster Residential office in April. He looks forward to another decade of success with his dedicated and experienced team. You can contact him on 01297 33122.
