Our career spotlight this month shines on Ben Powles, who joined Symonds & Sampson in 2022.Shortly after leaving school and having always had an interest in finance and figures, Ben responded to an advertisement for a trainee within our accounts departments. The role offered training, and the ability to progress within the firm.
Two years later, Ben has recently achieved his AAT level 2 exams, and attends college for a day a week as he progresses to his level 3, and eventually, level 4 qualifications.
Meanwhile, he is a key member of the client accounting sector of the department, and credits colleagues for the support and encouragement he has received during his learning, and study time in the lead in to exams. Alongside expanding his knowledge, Ben has grown in confidence during his time within the firm. He is able to keep up with the fast pace, and finds it particularly rewarding when he is able to assist colleagues and clients with their queries.
Ben also enjoys the social side of the firm, particularly the opportunity to meet colleagues from other offices at social and sporting opportunities.
