A full room greeted Symonds & Sampson when they held their auction of properties in Devon, Dorset, and Somerset on 19 October. A near 90% success rate proved that there remains a good life in the property market.Partner Ross Willmington said “The Guildhall at Axminster was overflowing with people keen to bid for lots throughout our region and this bodes well for the late autumn and winter market.
“The positive feeling in the room meant that almost all lots sold, including small areas of garden in villages, paddocks, cottages and bungalows for renovation as well as larger blocks of agricultural land.
“Bidders were in the room but also online, on the telephone, and we also had several proxy bids.”
