Published: 04/01/2023 By Peter Grout-SmithSymonds & Sampson are marking their 10th anniversary in Poundbury this year, the ever-popular 'coffee & cake' on 26 January is an event not to be missed!
In early 2013, Symonds & Sampson opened their flagship office in Queen Mother Square in Poundbury. Many of the dedicated team of Estate and Letting Agents have been there from the start, and have established a well-deserved reputation for the high standard of service they provide.
The Archpoint House office was swiftly followed by a second office at Burraton House in 2016, a base for our commercial, agricultural and professional agents and of course the MANCO managing agents. As a firm we have an incredibly broad and comprehensive knowledge of the development. In fact, our highly regarded Poundbury-based agents have a staggering combined 375 years of experience between them – not many firms can match that!
It’s not all business either, one of the highlights of our year is the popular Archpoint House cake sales organised by Peter Grout-Smith. Held annually (covid years aside), the well-attended social events have raised in excess of £3,500 for the firm’s chosen charities through cake sales and an impressive raffle, kindly supported by generous local businesses.
We hope you’ll join us for an Open House to celebrate our 10th Anniversary on Thursday 26th January, from 10 am – 2 pm, where we’ll be offering fizz, tea, coffee, a fabulous spread of cakes, and the chance to win one of the raffle prizes generously supported by local businesses - all raising funds for our chosen charities this year, YFW (Yeovil Free Wheel) Blood Bikes and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), an award-winning national charity providing local support to the farming community across England and Wales. Established in 1860, they have been offering guidance, financial support and practical care to farming people of all ages for generations.
YFW (Yeovil Free Wheel) Blood Bikes, a group of emergency volunteer bikers operating out of Yeovil, Wincanton, and Dorchester Hospitals and carrying blood, platelets, blood and tissue samples, medication, breast milk, documents, CT scans, and equipment to hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes as well as private addresses across much of Somerset and all of Dorset, saving the NHS well over £200,000 each year while easing patients’ suffering and helping to save lives.
