The town is a hub for arts and culture, much centred around the Abbey, schools, galleries and the impressive venue, ‘The Sherborne’,  is an outstanding regional hub for exhibitions, concerts, workshops and events. The town hosts a film festival, a literary festival, a music festival, the annual Pack Monday Fair, and no end of events at venues across the town throughout the year.

Explore the historic town, or head further afield to the grounds of
Sherborne Castle with its deer park, Lenthay Common Nature Reserve, or to nearby Holway Woods Nature Reserve, 

The countryside surrounding Sherborne is rich with picturesque villages to explore. To the north lie the gentle slopes of the Blackmore Vale, made famous by Thomas Hardy. The area is crisscrossed with walking trails, including parts of the Macmillan Way and Jubilee Trail, ideal for ramblers and cyclists. You’ll encounter a host of fantastic public houses, creative artists, makers and growers. Local craft and food fairs are not to be missed!
