Symonds & Sampson are looking forward to the return of their London Property Forums in November
All our London and Home County applicants are invited to attend the Symonds & Sampson Property Forum at The London Office in St James, which give them the perfect opportunity for buyers considering a move to the West Country to spend time with our agents. We can guide them to the best areas and properties to suit their requirements,
Bob Bickerstaff of The London Office has seen a 39% increase in London based applicants registering to move out of the capital year on year. “Whilst some of this increased demand was the pent-up activity of those who were already “in the market”, the majority are new potential purchasers/tenants entering the fray. They have reassessed their priorities during Lockdown and now want, or need to live in a different space or location.
This has been echoed in an ONS survey, which highlighted that one in four people are planning a major life change after the country has recovered from COVID-19. More than a third of these people have said they would like to change where they live. Particularly if their companies are now allowing an element of home working. Open space, gardens, fast broadband and home office are now high up the wish list.
Villages and areas that were previously seen as remote have gained traction and the urban rural shift from London is real. Demand is split evenly between those looking for a principal home and a bolt hole although there has been a noticeable shift. In the past those who had a principal home in London and a smaller weekend property are now wanting the reverse”.
The forum is geared specifically towards these potential purchasers. We will have Partners from the local offices on hand to not only talk about individual properties but also areas, commute times, schools and of course to recommend good local pubs.
Many prospective purchasers have commented how much they appreciate the opportunity to have an informed, relaxed and friendly discussion with residential experts, be it for new build, investment, holiday home or principal home without their needing to travel down to Wessex.
We’d love to take your property to town with us, so contact your local Symonds & Sampson office to arrange your free, no obligation market appraisal and we’ll tell you more.
