Our intrepid charity team are always on the look-out for new fundraising ideas, a clay shoot held last week proved to be a novel, exciting and covid-safe day for all.
The inaugural Symonds & Sampson Clay Shoot Team Challenge took place last Thursday in the glorious setting of the Spitfire shoot, near Stockbridge raising money for our chosen charities, Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire Mind and Future Roots.
A number of businesses entered teams, some complete novices and others very able shots. Teams of 4 rotated around a number of different stands and battled it out to hit as many of the 35 clays as possible, under the tutorage and watchful eye of the Spitfire team.
Shooting was followed by a delicious barbeque lunch and a prize-giving. The most improved shot award was presented to Harriet Olway of Trethowans Solicitors, pictured below with Peter Grout-Smith from our residential sales office in Poundbury.
A great time had by all, a healthy amount of money raised for our chosen charities, and even those with years of experience came away an improved shot. Thank you to all who supported and attended to make it such a memorable day
We will be holding a number of charity fundraising events in the coming months, and are sure to hold another clay shoot next year. Register your interest with Peter on 01305 251154.
