Sky-diving, Pimms afternoons and a glorious garden party - all in aid of good causes.
Four fearless ladies from Symonds & Sampson completed a 15,000ft skydive on Sunday in aid of Wessex Heartbeat. Trudi Gumbrell, Jessica Weymouth, Sam Brown and Andrea Todd have together raised (so far) in excess of £2000 in sponsorship, their efforts including popular Pimms afternoons outside their local offices in Sherborne and Bridport. A huge well done to them all.
Back down to earth, and on a glorious sunny afternoon last Wednesday, the Beaminster Team of Symonds & Sampson held their Charity Garden Party in the beautiful garden of Mr and Mrs Brooks. The team raised a grand total of £620 which will be split between our two charities this year, Wessex Heartbeat and Bournemouth Hospital Charity. Caroline Childs-Chaffey thanks everybody who supported the afternoon, including local businesses who donated raffle prizes, and helped make it such a success.
Plans afoot for further fund-raising include a quiz, coffee and cake mornings and a Murder-Mystery event – watch this space for details.
