The much anticipated 2019 edition of Symonds & Sampson’s award-winning property and lifestyle magazine, Country Matters, is about to leave the printers. You can collect your copy from any of our 12 offices across the region from Friday, 8th February.
Editors Mark Lewis and Marlise Jolliffe are confident this is one of the best magazines they have produced so far. “We are fortunate to have many fresh faces join the firm this year. They have written some excellent articles, injecting energy to the publication,” says Mark, head of agency.
“As ever there is an eclectic mix of informative professional articles and entertaining features, as well as historical and wider interest stories and the all-important photo spreads from the many summer shows that we attend.”
Country Matters immerses its readers in all aspects of south-west living, encouraging them to enjoy this beautiful part of the world and support local businesses, craftspeople and producers.
“We have broken the magazine into chapters with a clever canine theme running through, reflecting the traits of the professional services we offer,” says Mark.
As well as trusted advice and invaluable guidance on all things property related, Country Matters takes a lighthearted look at rural life. The 2019 issue reveals why Londoners are escaping to the country, talks about the lure of listed properties, and shares how three friends created their dream B&B. There are snapshots of village life from yesteryear, a look at Lawrence of Arabia’s rural retreat in Dorset, ideas for the ultimate home office, and a visit to the “world’s best” village fete.
In its low-down for landlords, Country Matters tackles EPC legislation, the forthcoming tenant fees ban, property maintenance, and the vital role of reference checks.
The Auction chapter catches up with news from Symonds & Sampson’s farm dispersal sales team, who are anticipating an exciting future for Frome livestock market, and looks ahead to the 2019 auction year.
The Agricultural chapter is packed with tips and tales, beginning with an essential overview of the farmland market and a look back at an outstanding year for the firm’s farm agency team.
And finally, there’s the ever popular Social section for charity news and the chance to spot yourself among the crowds in the photos from the summer shows.
Country Matters is the perfect showcase for the breadth of professional disciplines covered by Symonds & Sampson. Dedicated space within the magazine is given up to the properties sold the previous year – from magnificent country estates with equestrian facilities to quaint thatched cottages and village homes.
“There really is something for everyone in this magazine. Country Matters serves as an ongoing source of reference for potential buyers and sellers, so please call into one of our offices and pick up your free copy, or we can bring a magazine with us when we visit you,” says Mark.
