The results are in for the Symonds & Sampson Honiton Show Vegetable Vehicle competition!
It’s Honiton Show Day, we’d love to be at Honiton, meeting and greeting guests and enjoying one of the finest Agricultural shows in the land. Obviously, it’s not to be this year, but a huge thank you to the children who joined the spirit of the show, and created fantastic Vegetable Vehicles for our virtual competition.
Judges Association President and President Elect, Neil Parish MP and Mel Squires have been suitably challenged by the quality of the entries, but thoroughly enjoyed seeing the imaginative modes of transport submitted.
Congratulations to 4-year-old Sophie, whose impressive steam train (above) is the winner of Class 1, and to 8-year-old Henry for his colourful vehicle in Class 2, we look forward to welcoming them to our stand at the 2021 show.
A big thank you to all the budding engineers who took the time to enter the show, and we hope they’ll enter the Horticultural classes in person on 2021.
Thank you to Honiton Show secretary Marcelle Cooper, and judges Neil and Mel for joining forces with Symonds & Sampson to run the competition. If you missed this one, there's still time to enter the Symonds & Sampson Melplash Show Garden on a Plate and the Dorset County Show Vegetable Creature competitions, find details here.
