Symonds & Sampson announce their chosen charities for 2019

Symonds & Sampson are proud to announce their chosen charities of 2019.  This year, they have been selected by Senior Partner Andrew Robinson, who due to ill health during 2018 became all too familiar with the services of the NHS in Southampton and Bournemouth.  We are delighted to see Andrew fit and well again and therefore only too pleased to support charities which have aided not only his recovery – but also supported his family during a difficult year.

Wessex Heartbeat are based at the Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton, and offer a fantastic support system to families whose loved ones are receiving treatment, ensuring that loved ones are on hand during hospitalisation.

The Bournemouth Hospital Charity raises funds to purchase specialist medical equipment beyond the reach of NHS budgets to ensure that patients at the hospital have access to the latest cutting-edge technology and treatment.   There is another link between Symonds & Sampson and the Bournemouth Hospital Charity, Jim Monro – father of partner A-J Monro – was a heart surgeon at the hospital and instrumental in founding the charity.

Announcing the chosen charities, Andrew set a challenge to the bakers, fund-raisers and event organisers within Symonds & Sampson to raise £10,000 for the two charities this year, and we will look forward to working with two such worthy organisations throughout the year.
