Symonds & Sampson held their first property auction of 2020 on Friday 21 February and enjoyed strong bidding from a packed sale room as all lots sold.
Auctioneer Mark Lewis said “This was a wonderful start to the year and we had some very interesting lots, some of which had never been offered for sale before, so interest throughout the campaign had been building up and there was palpable excitement in the room.
“We knew that the day was going to be strong because over 3,000 legal documents had been downloaded from our website by 203 people and we had telephone and proxy bids from people who could not be present at the auction”.

The most interest however was for a potential building plot near Wareham. The land had a single storey tin dwelling on the site and was set in about 0.63 acres (pictured above). The guide of £130,000 was quickly passed and after 37 bids the hammer fell at £206,000 – 58% above guide.
