Now in its 15th year, Classic & Supercars can now be regarded as certainly one of the premier classics and supercar shows in the South of England with upwards of 2,000 cars on display, from veterans to the latest supercars. A host of attractions included motor club stands, motor trade stands, an auto jumble, craft fair and a quality classic car auction. There were also Special displays showcase dragsters and race cars, supercars, hot rods and custom cars.

Car enthusiast and residential partner at the award winning firm of chartered surveyors Symonds & Sampson, Andy Wakinshaw, is a trustee of the not for profit limited company and was delighted to hand over the cheques to the two charities Symonds & Sampson have been supporting this year.  Andy said “The show is always a terrific event and the number of people who attended was amazing the crowd coming from all over the UK.

“The two charities that we have been supporting are Go Girls who support women with gynaecological cancers ensuring sufferers receive advice and backing whilst Mosaic offer a pathway of support to bereaved children, young people and their families. We were able to donate £2,750 to each charity from the proceeds of the show.

“These are just two of the charities that the show supported. Others included Cancer Research UK, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Riding for the Disabled, Sherborne Area Youth Community Centre St Margaret’s Hospice, Somerset and Wessex Eating Disorder Association, The Balsam Centre (Like Minds), The Growing Space, Wincanton Parkinson’s UK, Yeovil Free Wheelers, Diabetes UK, The Rendezvous.

“A total of  £46,500 was distributed!”
