Rural Surveyor Chris Cary is pleased to announce another round of successful grant applications, this time in the form of Hedgerow & Boundary Grants, in which Symonds & Sampson have secured over £80,000 to help clients fund hedge laying and restore stone walls.
Chris, agent at the Sturminster Newton office reports that “the grant has provided a valuable opportunity for farmers to make improvements that help from a farm management perspective, while also offering landscape and environmental benefits".
Other grant funding to note is the Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme. Following the £15 million made available last spring, a further £30 million has been set aside to fund the purchase of computerised calf feeding machines and other agri-tech equipment to make farming businesses more environmentally friendly and productive. This grant will fund up to 40% of the purchase price of machinery.
