Equestrian Update - Hooray for Spring!

Like many horse owners, the arrival of spring means a huge sigh of relief in our household. After a long winter of mucking out, the horses can finally go out to grass.  Hooray! As Head of Symonds & Sampson’s Equestrian team, it is also good timing as spring is always our busiest period with lots of new equestrian properties and farms coming onto the market.

Equestrian Update - Hooray for Spring!

2018 was a very strong year for the firm, handling some important equestrian instructions such as the 90 acre Crabhayne Racing Stables at Axmouth guided at £1,950,000 and The East Devon Riding Academy at Branscombe guided at £575,000, both close to the beautiful Devon coastline.

At Symonds & Sampson we pride ourselves on having knowledgeable, specialist agents that ride and own horses dealing with our equestrian properties.  Being able to ‘talk horse’ frankly and with good local knowledge of such things as outriding, competition venues and hunting countries is extremely important to buyers who are often moving to the South West from out of area.

Currently on our books and launching imminently, we have some very attractive equestrian units such as Cowden Farm at Charminster, just 3 miles outside of Dorchester - a 37 acre residential/equestrian farm with period 4 bedroom farmhouse, 26 stables (run as a highly regarded livery business), manege and well fenced pasture. At Colyton, East Devon we have Parehayne Farm (pictured above) - a 28 acre residential/equestrian farm with a privately situated 5 bedroom farmhouse, two detached cottages, American barn, stableyard set in pastureland with areas of woodland and a stunning lake.  Moving to West Dorset just about to launch is Limbury - a beautiful 6 bedroom country house (below) set in outstanding gardens with a lake.  A detached 3 bedroom cottage, attractive stableyard, modern farm building and 44 acres of pasture.

These are just a snapshot of the properties we have available, so if you (and your horses of course) are looking for your next home (and stable) do contact Ross Willmington on 01297 33122 or your local Symonds & Sampson office.
