Charity Pimms in the Garden

Guests enjoyed ‘Pimms in the Garden’ on a glorious summer’s afternoon last week, at a charity garden party organised our Beaminster Office.

Representatives from both of our chosen charities for 2022 shared insights into their work; Future Roots discussed the tough world of County lines activity in Dorset, and how they try to prise the victims out of the gangs. Additionally, they shared detail on how The Countryman Club supports older farmers and country folk with group activities, and how this helps to give them a purpose and focus. Calvin from Dorset Mind spoke eloquently about the work and support which they as a Charity carry out within the local community to enable all to enjoy access to resources to improve their mental health.

Caroline Childs-Chaffey, Manager of our Beaminster office said after the event. ‘We are indebted to Peter and Maggie Brook for hosting the party in their beautiful garden, and for their tremendous help in the run up to the event, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. At the time of writing, nearly £700 has been raised, with pledges of further donations to our chosen charities.
