Another 100% Auction Success for Symonds & Sampson

Auctioneer Mark Lewis was very pleased even though there were a few technical difficulties. “We are reaching a new audience through our online platform and the number of bidders ‘buying into the system’ has increased exponentially partly thanks to our association with Auction House UK.

Meredith Holmes Auctions Manager added ‘People are beginning to learn how the system works but we still have the flexibility of offering bidding by telephone and proxy for those nervous of the online option’.

Notable prices were:

  • A cottage for complete renovation at Cheselbourne near Dorchester sold for £200,000.
  • A building plot in Beaminster sold for £250,000.

Land lots:

  • Castle Cary Somerset sold for £40,000 – 100% above guide
  • Trowbridge, Wiltshire, 6.22 acres sold for £76,000 – 26% above guide and £12,200 acre
  • Cheselbourne, 0.58 acre sold for £31,000 – 100% above guide
