Auctioneer Mark Lewis was relieved that the sale went well “The auction was the day after the European elections so we were a little nervous that negative media reporting would distract buyers. As the announcement was deferred until the Sunday, we were able to hold the auction without any distractions”.

Notable prices:

  • 3.95 acres at South Cheriton created a lot of local interest and sold for £88,000 (£22,000 acre)
  • An individual building plot with permission for a single plot at Frome Vauchurch sold for £130,000
  • A detached house in the grounds of Milton Abbey School sold for £310,000.
  • 2.35 acres of land at Askerswell with potential for a building plot sold for £160,000 over the telephone to a buyer from Lincolnshire.
