A resilient residential market despite national uncertainty

Jon Summers reports a resilient residential market in the first half of 2019, and credits the strength and depth of expertise within the firm that contributes to our success.

A resilient residential market despite national uncertainty

Symonds & Sampson are the market leaders throughout much of our region and in the first part of the year we have added over 5,000 new buyers to our already extensive database. Most are motivated to buy this year and we have seen strong activity in all price ranges. The regional property market therefore, continues to be resilient despite national uncertainty surrounding our position in Europe.

Not all firms can say this however. The importance of having an experienced and knowledgeable agent acting for you is more important than ever, especially in a price sensitive market, and getting the right guide from the start is vital. Our recent sales have been agreed at between 90% and 120% of the guide price but that is only part of the challenge. We often say that as soon as the sale is agreed the real work starts and this has been particularly poignant this year. Chasing solicitors and mortgage brokers to get sales exchanged can be challenging but we are fortunate to have first class trained professional staff who are dedicated to ensuring that the sale goes through smoothly.

Not all agents are the same.  Symonds & Sampson with our extensive property disciplines, are almost unique. You should talk to us for an honest discussion about the property market, and have a sensible appraisal of your current property. With our extensive national and international contacts through The London Office we may even be able to help with your next purchase.
