Show Season Upon Us

July 2017

The Symonds & Sampson marquee is being dusted off for the show season, which started with The Honiton Show on Thursday 3rd August. The firm and our guest all enjoyed a fantastic day (albeit a little grey!)

Ross Willmington, the partner, who co-ordinates the shows for the firm from the Axminster office, commented “We very much look forward to welcoming clients both past and present for a drink and something to eat on our stands. If you a looking to sell or acquire property or land in the region do call in and have a chat with one of our team. We hope that all the shows have a good 2017 season”.

Symonds & Sampson will also be attending the following shows: Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show on Wednesday 16th August at Motcombe, Melplash Show on Thursday 24th August at Bridport, Dorset County Show on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September at Dorchester and The Dairy Show on Wednesday 4th October at Shepton Mallet.

Ross was born in Exeter and brought up on the family farm at Branscombe on the East Devon coast.  Remaining closely involved in the farm gives him great empathy with his agricultural clients.

After studying at the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester, and a year working on an estate in Cornwall, Ross joined Symonds & Sampson in 2004.  He is now a partner and is based in the Farm Agency department, working from our Axminster office.

Since 2009 Ross has been Head of the firm’s Equestrian department, as well as this his expertise includes:

  • Farm Valuation
  • Handling the sale, purchase and letting of farms, land & country houses
  • All aspects of professional rural property management
  • Organising the Devon Property Auctions.

Ross still lives in Branscombe and shares his life with his partner, their dogs and too many horses. Outside of the office he enjoys all country pursuits and spent nearly 10 years as MFH of the Axe Vale Harriers. Other interests include politics, travel and the theatre. He is actively involved in fund raising for many local organisations, sits on a number of committees including his local Parochial Church Council, and is chairman of the Branscombe Players (the local amateur dramatics group).
