Commercial Assistant - Dorchester

Our Commercial Department in Dorchester are seeking a competent assistant. ideally with commercial agency experience - this is challenging but rewarding position offers the opportunity to become an integral member of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dealing effectively with email and telephone enquiries
  • Diary and Database management
  • Organising File Management and compliance
  • Marketing property
  • Booking and carrying out viewings
  • Commercial property management and rent collection
  • Opportunity to Develop own fee-earning over time

KEY SKILLS

  • An understanding of property agency and management is essential
  • Knowledge of general commerce/business useful
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft packages especially Excel spreadsheets
  • Some experience of estate agency and property management software is required.
  • Good level of communication skills, telephone and interpersonal
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise jobs
  • A confident manner and ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Full driving license and use of a car
  • Flexibility to integrate into a larger team and provide cover as and when required

EXPERIENCE            

One Year minimum property experience required, ideally in commercial property, although residential estate/lettings and property management will be considered.  Knowledge of property database systems preferred.

THE OFFICE                 Our Commercial Department is based in our office in High West Street in Dorchester, within a short walk of the town centre and its many shops and eateries. It is home to our commercial and residential agency departments.

Experienced Secretary - Valuation Department, Yeovil

  • Closing Date: 31 October 2019

Our Yeovil office are looking for an experienced secretary to join the Valuation Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audio typing of valuation reports and general correspondence
  • Putting together valuation reports and submitting them to lending institutions
  • Handling telephone enquiries
  • Managing surveyors’ diaries
  • Dealing with invoicing and liaising with our in-house accounts department

KEY SKILLS

  • An experienced audio typist with an excellent understanding of formatting and templates
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft programs particularly Word and Outlook
  • Good level of communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years’ secretarial experience is essential. The ideal candidate would have experience in audio typing, setting out documents, and preparing Red Book valuations.

Residential Lettings Negotiator - Poundbury (Maternity Leave)

  • Closing Date: 24 October 2019

An exciting opportunity for a Negotiator to join our successful and ever-expanding lettings department. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with clients and assess their particular needs
  • Register and manage clients andapplicants
  • Arrange and attend viewings around homes
  • Canvass for new business opportunities
  • Respond to queries via e-mail and telephone

ESSENTIAL SKILLS 

  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Computer literacy with good knowledge of word, outlook and excel
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • Confident manner with clients and the team
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion
  • Full driving license and use of own vehicle 


EXPERIENCE      Previous lettings experience desirable but not essential. Experience in a similar public facing role essential

THE OFFICE       Our office is located in Queen Mother Square in Poundbury, within walking distance of manly local amenities.  It is a multi-disciplinary office, home to sales, lettings and PR departments.
