Senior Administrator - Property Management Department

  • Closing Date: 12 November 2020

Symonds & Sampson are looking for a Full time Senior Administrator to join our Property Management Department.  This is currently a home-based role, and ideally suited to an individual who can demonstrate self-motivation and have the ability to use their own initiative. The work requires strong customer relations, data base management and methodical attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Maintaining good relations with Landlords, Tenants and Contractors
  • Handling Telephone enquiries
  • Diary and Database management
  • Responding to emails
  • Raising works orders and processing invoices
  • Managing and booking property visits

KEY SKILLS 

  • Good level of customer service skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work within a team
  • High level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence with access to a vehicle

EXPERIENCE

  • Property management experience desirable but not essential as training will be given 
  • Administrative experience is required

STARTING DATE - The requirement for this role is immediate 

THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT are a small team, working closely with our letting agents.  They currently work from home, with regular online meetings to ensure everybody is ‘in the loop’.  Working at Poundbury, or other offices by arrangement may be required occasionally or in the future.

Commercial Property Surveyor - Yeovil

Symonds & Sampson LLP are seeking a Qualified Surveyor to join the busy Commercial Property team in our Yeovil office. The role offers the opportunity for an individual to become part of an established team, while developing their own area of expertise.  This is an opportunity where the right candidate can develop and progress their career to the highest level by creating relationships with other professionals and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • To undertake work types including but not limited to:
  • Valuations for banks, private individuals, probate and general tax planning
  • Planning for commercial and mixed-use development
  • Commercial Agency
  • General professional advice for commercial clients

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • RICS qualified
  • Registered Valuer
  • Full UK Driving license
  • 2+ years PQE
  • Ability to deal effectively with email and telephone enquiries
  • Diary and Database management
  • File Management and compliance
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft packages especially Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience of using estate agency and property management software

Residential Lettings Negotiator - Poundbury

An exciting opportunity for a Lettings Negotiator to join our successful office in Poundbury. This fast-paced and varied role will be ideally suited to somebody with drive and enthusiasm for their work, and who can demonstrate self-motivation, ability to use their own initiative, to multi-task and most of all to keep smiling!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with clients and assess their particular needs
  • Register and manage clients and applicants
  • Arrange and attend viewings around homes
  • Canvass for new business opportunities
  • Respond to queries via e-mail and telephone
  • Preparing tenancy agreements and correspondencE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Computer literacy with good knowledge of word, outlook and excel
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • Confident manner with clients and the team
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion
  • Full driving license and use of own vehicle

EXPERIENCE 

Previous lettings experience desirable, however experience in a similar public facing role essential

Our office is located in Queen Mother Square in Poundbury, within walking distance of manly local amenities. It is a multi-disciplinary office, home to sales, lettings and marketing departments.
