Residential Sales Negotiator - Beaminster Office

The award winning firm, Symonds & Sampson are looking to expand their Beaminster sales team and are seeking a full time Negotiator to join this highly successful office. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with the drive and determination necessary to succeed in this environment and someone who is looking to build their career. Professional qualifications are expected to be achieved within the first year.

Key responsibilities

  • Dealing effectively with all initial enquiries
  • Diary and data base management
  • Maintaining positive relationships with vendors and buyers
  • Arranging and carrying out viewings
  • Sales progression
  • Generating valuations and property sales

Key Skills

Experience  Estate agency or sales experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.

The Office  The Beaminster office is situated just off the Market Square, close to the heart of Beaminster.  It is a thriving office, and staff our proud to be a part of the vibrant local community.  An excellent range of shops and eateries are close to hand.

Commercial Assistant - Dorchester

  • Closing Date: 13 December 2019

Our Commercial Department in Dorchester are seeking a competent assistant ideally with some commercial agency experience - this is challenging but rewarding position offers the opportunity to become an integral member of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dealing effectively with email and telephone enquiries
  • Diary and Database management using RPS software
  • Organising File Management and compliance
  • Marketing property
  • Booking and carrying out viewings
  • Some Commercial property management and assisting rent collection
  • Opportunity to Develop own fee-earning over time

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Previous estate agency administration experience using dedicated software (such as RPS) or computer database management experience from a related industry is a largely essential.  Minimum 1 year experience.
  • A confident attitude in dealing with the general public in person, by phone, email and social media
  • An ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • A general interest in commerce, business and marketing property
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in report writing and property details using Microsoft software.
  • Once settled in to operate without supervision (to attend viewings on own when required)
  • Full driving licence and use of a motor vehicle for business (parking and business mileage provided)

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Ambition to develop and take over tasks and grow own role over time under own motivation.
  • General property management experience (training will be given)
  • General office administration including an understanding of file management, compliance etc
  • An ability to multi-task and help other departments when required

THE OFFICE                 Our Commercial Department is based in our office in High West Street in Dorchester, within a short walk of the town centre and its many shops and eateries. It is home to our commercial and residential agency departments.

Experienced Secretary - Valuation Department, Yeovil

  • Closing Date: 13 December 2019

Our Yeovil office are looking for an experienced secretary to join the Valuation Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audio typing of valuation reports and general correspondence
  • Putting together valuation reports and submitting them to lending institutions
  • Handling telephone enquiries
  • Managing surveyors’ diaries
  • Dealing with invoicing and liaising with our in-house accounts department

KEY SKILLS

  • An experienced audio typist with an excellent understanding of formatting and templates
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft programs particularly Word and Outlook
  • Good level of communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years’ secretarial experience is essential. The ideal candidate would have experience in audio typing, setting out documents, and preparing Red Book valuations.
