Trainee Rural Surveyor/Recently Qualified Surveyor

Symonds & Sampson LLP are one of the leading and most progressive independent firms of Chartered Surveyors in the South of England with over 120 staff in 14 offices. The Salisbury Office  are recruiting for a graduate or recently qualified surveyor to join their busy Agricultural and Professional Department. The position offers an incredibly varied role enabling the successful candidate to gain a wide experience in all aspects of rural surveying. This will include but not be limited to:

·         Estate Management

·         Planning, diversification schemes, development and strategic planning

·         Purchase and sale of rural property

·         Landlord and Tenant related issues for both landlords and tenants

·         Valuation, taxation and general professional advice

·         Compensation, telecoms and utilities installation work

 

This is a diverse and interesting role that offers great opportunity for a graduate or recently qualified surveyor to gain experience and build a career in rural surveying.

The candidate must hold a full UK driving licence, completed a RICS accredited degree and be a Member or Student Member of RICS. Ideally the candidate will also be a Fellow or Probationer of the CAAV.

Competitive salary offered to match the level of experience and qualification with genuine prospects of career progression for the right person. Training for both RICS and CAAV professional exams will be provided by Symonds & Sampson where required.

Recently Qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor

Our Wimborne Office are looking for a recently qualified rural Chartered Surveyor to join our busy Agricultural and Professional Department. Candidates should have at least 2 years PQE.

Initially the role will involve assisting 3 established surveyors, whilst growing a personal client base and taking on some of the work and clients of a senior surveyor, offering enormous opportunity for career progression and a chance to work with some of the most experienced and respected professionals in the region.

Applicants will have experience in and be prepared to carry out:

·         Direct client contact and reporting as required

·         Planning, diversification schemes, development and strategic planning

·         Compensation, telecoms and utilities installation work

·         Basic Payment Scheme and environmental stewardship

·         Valuation, taxation and general professional advice

·         Landlord and tenant work acting for both landlords and tenants

 

Pay package dependent on experience.

Building Surveyor

Due to an increased workload and ambitions for the expansion and development of the department, Symonds & Sampson LLP are now recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor. This is a permanent and long term position, with opportunities for great career progression.

The candidate will ideally be MRICS qualified and will have between 1-5 years’ post qualification experience.

The position will be office based, with the hub of the department located in Wimborne, Dorset. The candidate will have a full UK driving licence and must be willing to travel in order to cover the firms’ area of work – Wessex region.

This is a superb opportunity to join an established and ambitious regional, multi-disciplinary Firm of Chartered Surveyors.

Remuneration will be dependent on experience.

Receptionist/Administrator

Receptionist/Administrator

The Wimborne Valuation department is looking for a a receptionist/administrator to work with an existing experienced administrator. 

The job is likely to be 9am-2pm 5 days a week with some room for flexibility. 

The ideal candidate will be professional, organised, cheerful and patient as this will be a primarily customer focussed role. Jobs and skills to include: 

 

·         Maintaining good business relations with panels, and private clients

·         Handling Telephone Enquires

·         Manage Surveyors Diaries

·         Proficient in use of Microsoft packages

·         Good level of communication skills

·         Multi-tasking and prioritising jobs 

 

      Etech and Quest Software knowledge advantageous but training will be given.
