Over £50,000 Raised for Charity

January 2017

We were very busy in 2016 raising money for good causes. Through tireless cake making, marathon running, Christmas drinks, raffles and general donations £7,444 will be paid to our chosen charity for the year, regional Air Ambulances.

The various auctioneers in the firm gave up many evenings to raise funds for a number of good causes including RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution), Children with cancer, Macmillan Cancer Support, as well as churches, sports clubs and schools.

Sponsorship and other help was given to 130 different organisations as diverse as The Bridport Hat Festival, The Sturminster Cheese Festival, Sherborne Music Festival, Beaminster Horticultural Society, Boogie Woogie Festival, Lyme Regis Food Rocks, Hawkchurch Tractor Rally and various literary festivals.

Symonds & Sampson’s chosen charities for 2017 are ‘Mosaic’ which provides bereavement support for children and young people and ‘Go Girls’ who support women with gynaecological cancers.

When you see someone from the firm ‘rattling their tin’ please dig deeply into your pocket!
