Tessa was born in Slough, Berkshire the second of five children and was educated at Slough High School. She worked as a Platemaker in a busy printing firm for 17 years, until, always having yearned for the country life she took the opportunity to move to Somerset in 2004.
At this point she decided to take a more customer-facing role and began work as the receptionist in a Crewkerne printing firm. Having been made redundant just 18 months later, she was particularly drawn to the traditional farming roots of Symonds and Sampson, linking back to her maternal Grandfather and an Uncle who were cattle farmers. This, coupled with a strong interest in Residential property, led her to take the position of receptionist in the Yeovil branch of the firm in 2006.
Rapidly improving on basic skills and having qualified in Estate Agency to M.N.A.E.A. standard, she has expanded on her role and now works in the Residential Sales department as assistant. She says the work is diverse, interesting, challenging and ultimately very rewarding.
