Patrick was born and brought up on a mixed arable and stock farm in the Vale of Aylesbury, in Bucks before attending the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester, graduating in Rural Estate Management in 1992.
He first moved to Dorset in 1996 and worked as a land agent in estate management for 7 years before a 4 year spell with a Cornwall and Devon based firm of rural surveyors where he became a Director. The desire to return to Dorset was too strong and he jumped at the chance to join Symonds & Sampson in their Dorchester office in 2007, becoming a Partner in 2010.
Patrick's experience is wide ranging and encompasses agricultural and residential property valuations, rural planning, estate management, Landlord and Tenant work and general property advice. He also frequently takes instructions as an Expert Witness in property valuation and access disputes.
Patrick lives in rural West Dorset at Toller Porcorum with his wife Charlotte. Away from the office his main activities include shooting, gardening and walking. Patrick is on the committee of the Dorset branch of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, the Dorset Local Access Forum and is Treasurer to the Park Beagles.
