Good Tenants Like Us

March 2010

Fleet Cottage

In the ideal world Landlords want to know they have the best tenants for their properties. The fact that good tenants want to stay with managing agents like Symonds & Sampson is encouraging for landlords looking for peace of mind. Two recent examples of tenants choosing to stay with Symonds & Sampson even when forced to move are given by the Dorchester Office's Letting department headed by Mary Freeland.

Mary says "The White House at Ringstead bay was an attractive holiday home where clients asked us to find tenants over the winter period. We found a lovely family of 4, with a dog who spent the winter there enjoying the sea air and views. Anxious to find somewhere else by the sea we then found them a charming thatched property (see picture) near Weymouth where they continue to enjoy the sea air. Even the thought of the metal dinosaurs and loch ness monster at the neighboring Miz Maize didn't frighten the children or the dog too much!"

"Another family who had been long term tenants rented a house in Buckland Newton. Thinking they wanted to move to Sussex they gave up the tenancy and moved away. After 6 months they decided that they had made a mistake and wanted to return to Dorset and asked us to find them a property near Dorchester. This we did and as the snow was falling in December the returnees moved into a property at Broadmayne which they hope will be their permanent home for many years."

If you are thinking of letting your property or need to find a new home give Mary a ring or contact her by e mail using the details below.
