Move to The Country Show

Move to the Country 2010
Move to the Country 2010

Tuesday 27th April -

Once again we attended this high profile show sponsored by London agents Douglas & Gordon and Country Life.  Set in the beautiful painted hall at Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King's Road the exhibition featured agents from the London Office Group all showing their wares.  The theme Move to the Country brought in lots of people after lunch, through the afternoon and into the early evening catching those tired commuters fed up with London life.

It was a beautiful day outside but the S&S staff were fully occupied talking to buyers looking for weekend boltholes, good family houses close to schools and to buyers looking for a change in lifestyle looking at properties suitable to convert to holiday businesses and B&Bs.  Our only problem was having enough property to show buyers with a slow up in properties coming to the market because of concerns over the election and the delaying factor of HIPs.

Rachael James who was attending the show for the first time to talk about houses to let in our area said "I was surprised at how busy we were.  The south west is obviously the place to move to judging by the number of people on our stand".
