Property Auctioneer

Property Auctioneer

Mark Lewis FRICS FAAV

Mark is the Partner in charge of Symonds & Sampson LLP's Residential Department and is one of the most experienced property auctioneers in the South of England. He trained from a very early age under his father Paul, a leading livestock and property auctioneer, and former President of the CAAV.

After 20 years selling livestock and farm machinery in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Dorset and the surounding counties, Mark started auctioning property in 2001. The year before Symonds & Sampson had sold about 3 properties by auction but by mid 2006 had sold over 600 properties under Mark's gavel. In excess of £100 million worth of property has been sold this way in Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Mark continues to be a guest auctioneer at charity functions and appears regularly on television property programmes as well as lecturing on his favourite subject....auctioneering.

Away from the rostrum, Mark's interests include cooking, renovating his 16th century house, playing hockey and cricket and walking the dog in the glorious Dorset countryside with his wife, Nicky and two children.
