Who We Are

Symonds & Sampson LLP was founded in 1858 in Dorchester and remained a small firm of Land Agents and Surveyors in the town, with members of the Symonds family still in practice, until the 1980's.

Acquisitions and mergers since then have resulted in the current 14 partner firm with nine offices spread across Wessex - Dorset and into the surrounding counties of Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire.

This has allowed for specialist departments to be set up offering all forms of advice on property and agricultural matters.

What We Do

Things have obviously come a long way since the 1850's. Economic and social circumstances change all the time and the range of work constantly increases with new legislation and technology. As this website shows, we have been able to keep up with the challenges of modern agency and professional practice but believe we have also managed to retain the traditional values which clients expect of a long-established rural partnership.
