Symonds & Sampson's roots are firmly embedded in the farming community so it is a natural progression to sponsor the Taste of Dorset Awards. Head of Agency, Mark Lewis is particularly thrilled to be involved in Blackmore Vale Media's Taste of Dorset Awards 2010. He said "The quality of food products, restaurants and retailers has improved dramatically in the past few years and we try to support independent shops as much as possible.
"The awards have 15 categories and Symonds & Sampson will be judging the best meat producer class, always a difficult section but made even more so by the fact that we anticipate the finalists all being clients of the firm!"
This award is given for the farmer producing the best meat, poultry or game, which may be sold from the farm, through a farm shop, farmers market or local butcher.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the Blackmore Vale Magazine 01963 364029 or from the website www.thisisdorset.co.uk/tasteofdorset
3 Finalists will be selected from each category and they will be judged by a Taste of Dorset panel drawn from sponsors, the awards organisers and local food experts. The winners will be announced at the Taste of Dorset Awards presentation evening at Herrison Hall, at Charlton Down near Dorchester, on Tuesday 7th September.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 16th July.
