Who We Are

Symonds & Sampson LLP have been established since 1858 and, over the years, have earned a reputation as one of the most respected, progressive and well-known firms of Chartered Surveyors in the South of England, especially the West Country. From the New Forest, Salisbury, Somerset and Dorset to East Devon our Estate and Letting Agents operate in some of the most fashionable, desirable and sought after parts of the UK.

What We Do

With nearly 50 professionally qualified people throughout our nine offices, we are ideally positioned to offer a range of services that extend well beyond simple sales and lettings such as: management and letting of property; valuation of property trusts and partnership assets for inheritance tax, matrimonial or family disputes; rent reviews; succession to tenancy; general landlord and tenant issues; architectural work; arbitration; mediation; mortgage and bank valuations; building surveying; planning applications and appeals; representations regarding development plans; wayleave and easement negotiation; compulsory purchase; diversification proposals; property search, etc.

We can sell and buy property by private treaty, tender or auction and are well known livestock and machinery Auctioneers on farms and in Frome Market.

The firm is Regulated by RICS (the RoyaI Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and also by ARLA (Association of Residential Lettings Agents) and NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) with regards to professional practice and clients money. Individuals may be members of these or other professional bodies as shown in the office details pages. The firm is authorised by RICS as General Insurance Intermediaries (DPB licence 392) and with the OFT as a Credit Broker: Reg No: 634426/1. Any contractual dealings with us are determined by letter of engagement between ourselves and our clients and by our standard Terms and Conditions and will be governed by English Law.
